Push on to attract more backpacker tourists as one of the most common attractions is the sea rock, which is found along the coastlines. It has been called “the best beach in England”.

This year more than 100,000 backpackers have come to the Rock for a summer break, but many travel at night, making the beach a popular night time tourist spot.

However, when it rains, the rocky beaches can have slippery conditions, and there are large rocks that can crack if lifted.

You can buy and sell backpacking passes, which allow you to buy or sell a single backpacking trip, for up to 90 days for up to £50 each.

But there’s no point if you can’t walk a mile, as many travellers can’t afford the walk and the beaches can make it too easy to walk on a slick rock.

The average cost of a backpacker trip is around £80 – or about £200 if you buy overnight camping, which is often cheaper.

You can buy backpacking passes when you book an overnight stay.

How to find the Rock

On the Rock is a site with maps, signs and information.
